Joel McComas

Joel has over 20 years of midstream energy experience, primarily working in senior commercial development roles at Phillips 66, Statoil and Louis Dreyfus. His expertise includes development and negotiation of storage, pipelines, fractionation and export projects related to natural gas liquids. Joel pursued a BS in Mathematics from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Scot McClure

Scot has over 20 years of pipeline, underground storage, and petrochemical experience working in various engineering, operations and site leadership roles at LyondellBasell. Prior to LyondellBasell, Scot was an engineer with a pipeline and facilities engineering firm. His expertise includes Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast pipeline asset development and operations of large, interconnected hazardous liquid pipeline systems and associated underground storage facilities. Scot holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee.

William Whaley

William joins Easton from his most recent role as Director of Finance at Zenith Energy. At Zenith, William oversaw budgeting, planning and treasury functions for both the international and North American businesses. Prior to Zenith, William was an investment banking analyst in the Energy and Power group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. William holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from Baylor University.

Jennifer Paulsen

Jennifer is a Certified Public Accountant with 18 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Jennifer has over 11 years of public accounting experience serving companies in the oil and gas and manufacturing industries. She joined the private sector in 2012 and has spent her industry career in the midstream space with director-level roles at El Paso Corporation, Kinder Morgan, Inc., and Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP, where she managed all aspects of technical accounting matters for significant transactions, as well as the implementation of new accounting guidance and helped develop the Midstream Industry Group with a following of over forty companies in the Houston area. Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration.

Tyler Wharton

Tyler has 12 years of commercial NGL and liquids experience with his most recent role as Director, NGL Origination and Business Development at Phillips 66. Prior to Phillips 66, Tyler spent time at Texon, LLC where he was responsible for negotiating purchase contracts for both NGL and condensate barrel in the Permian Basin and the Rocky Mountains. Tyler began his career in the energy business at Enterprise Products working with their NGL pipeline assets along the Gulf Coast. Tyler holds a BS in Political Science from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Rice University.

Rick Gehring

Rick has over 40 years of experience in the petroleum and petrochemical industry, having worked for Marathon Oil, Ferrellgas, Mark West Hydrocarbon, and LyondellBasell Industries. He has extensive experience in natural gas liquids, olefins, and pipelines and is a past president and program director of the Petrochemical Feedstock Association of the Americas. Rick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Miami University and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Don Gideon

Don has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Don has worked with Kinder Morgan, Highland Partners, Magellan Midstream, Chesapeake, CenterPoint Energy, Wildcat Midstream Partners and many other energy companies. He has trained at the Colorado School of Mines Gas Processing and The University of Texas Petroleum Extension and received training in EPA, PHMSA and OSHA Regulations. He is also a member of ASME, NFPA, and AWI.

Chris Cramer

Chris has over 15 years of experience in energy and trading. Most recently, he was responsible for establishing trading activities for Satellite Petrochemical USA in preparation for their ethane exports out of North America. Prior to Satellite, he was an integral part of a global team optimizing ethane export assets for Ineos Trading and Shipping. In addition to NGLs, Chris has traded energy for a major bank and a wide range of financial instruments for other sophisticated financial institutions. Chris holds a BBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University and an MBA, with concentrations in Finance and Statistics, from Rice University. He is also a CFA® charterholder.

Chuck Brownman

Chuck Brownman brings over 35 years of oil & gas, corporate and legal experience to Easton Energy and its various entities and businesses. He brings a strategic perspective to the practice of law, helping businesses grow, going back to his time as VP and Assistant General Counsel of Dynegy; VP and General Counsel of Aspect Energy; Associate General Counsel of Apache; and Senior Counsel for ConocoPhillips. Including his stints as in-house counsel for an electricity generation company and a local electricity and gas utility, he possesses a broad knowledge of the energy industry from wellhead to burnertip, including alternate fuels such as solar and wind. In addition to his responsibilities for Easton Energy, Chuck is an Adjunct Professor of Law, having taught Oil & Gas Law, contract drafting and negotiation, and transactional skills at both the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law. He has spoken and written extensively at CLE Programs around the country.
